“From the start of our first meeting with Bill, we knew he was the guy. Call us naive but sometimes you just know when someone is the right fit. Not only did he have the patience to listen to my ever-changing plans/ideas, he had the knowledge and the resources to guide us in the right direction … both aesthetically and financially. Nothing is plumb and nothing is level. It was a Pandora’s box and we knew it.
We have done remodels and new builds before but never an old place like ours. Yes, it would have been so much easier and probably cheaper to level it. You guys have done a great job in keeping with the “design” of the old place. The exterior improvements turned out better than we could have imagined. The quality and consistency of your subcontractors has been awesome to say the least. We could never have done this long distance without you.
The one thing that we really appreciated was the e-mail updates with the photographs. Other contractors promised us this a few years ago and never delivered. It helped us so much in the decision making process and last minute changes.
A true complement to your abilities and capabilities was that we used you again for the interior. If we weren’t happy, we would have gone somewhere else. We know that the interior changes/additions are taking a little longer but the progress and quality of finish work is worth the wait.
Bottom line is this. We have owned our cabin since 1994 and have found few contractors that we can trust and that are still in business. In you we have found some of the most hard-working, honest, trustworthy craftsman in the business. We would love to build a ‘dream cabin’ one day but what you’ve done to our existing place has made us so very happy. We know we can call you well after the job is done for anything even in years to come.
On a very personal note, you’ve been like family … Bill, the brother who I love to tease; Zane, the son I’d love to have. We have found new friends once Ryan retires and we spend more time there.”
